Introduction
The Day Ward / Endoscopy Unit (St. Ita’s Ward) is located on the second floor of the main hospital. It is a fourteen-bedded unit and provides care for clients/patients attending for minor surgical and endoscopy procedures.
As care providers we strive to make your stay comfortable and efficient and our philosophy includes a holistic approach to your health and welfare needs. It is a mixed sex unit, however we will endeavour to maintain your privacy at all times.

| Monday – Thursday | 7.30am – 4.00pm |
|---|---|
| Friday | 7.30am – 3.00pm |
Services Provided
- Endoscopic procedures.
- Admission and discharge of patients undergoing minor surgeries.
- Phlebotomy for the treatment of haemochromatosis.
- The Day Ward also serves as the admission centre for clients undergoing minor surgical.
- Procedures under local or general anaesthetic theatre.
- There are nine staff members working within the unit.
