Introduction
Library and information services are provided in St. Michael’s Hospital Library for the staff of St. Vincent’s Healthcare Group and for students from UCD on placement in any of the Group’s hospitals. The resources are selected and services offered to support management, staff and students in their mission to provide the best quality healthcare to patients in their care.

The Library is located on the Annexe Ground Floor, St. Michael’s Hospital.

Services Provided
A group wide online catalogue is provided. Resources include books, journals, print and online, online databases, videos.
Facilities include a study area, printing, copying, scanning, internet and intranet access.
Services include loans, a monthly current awareness service, information skills training, individual assistance with information queries, inter-library loans/document supply.
The library and information service aims to reflect the professional educational aspirations of health service staff and students, as well as provide support in clinical decision making. The service is monitored closely and users’ needs are the prime consideration when changes are introduced.
