St. Michael’s Hospital is a general hospital providing a range of acute and specialised services. Situated 8 miles from Dublin City centre in Dun Laoghaire. The town of Dun Laoghaire is a seaside port and a place with a rich history.
The hospital has 134 in-patient beds incorporating 7-day, 5-day and day care options. Facilities are provided for acute medical and surgical in-patients, out patients’ clinics and an 8am - 8pm Casualty service.
In 2001 the former St Michael’s Private Hospital, (now known as the Annexe), became part of St. Michael’s Public Hospital in conjunction with the Eastern Regional Health Authority to reduce waiting lists. A range of general and specialist’s services, which include a Cardiac Rehabilitation programme, are provided. St. Michael’s is the regional training centre for Pulmonary Rehabilitation care.
